DURING Ramadan, those working in the heart of Kuala Lumpur have an array of options when it comes to breaking of fast.

If you are near Jalan Binjai, why not head over to Perdana Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel for 10Binjai Restaurant’s Dapur Binjai Ramadan buffet.

One of the must-try items is Ayam Percik Kelantan, which has an abundance of flavour.

The chicken is first coated with a combination of ingredients, including garlic, ginger and coconut milk before being grilled.

Another east coast dish, also from Kelantan, is Daging Kerutup.

Here, succulent beef is cooked with spices such as dry fennel seed, cinnamon, clove, star anise and chilli powder.

With its thick gravy, it went well with briyani and even plain rice.

Whole roasted lamb on the grill was another highlight that we enjoyed.

There are also other Malay dishes such as Udang Masak Lemak Belimbing, Kacang Buncis Goreng Belacan, Kari Ikan Bendi and Sotong Kangkong Sambal Tumis, Ketam Lemak Berlada, Daging Rendang Minang, Ayam Golek, Kambing Opor Bali and Udang Sambal Tumis.

The buffet is available until April 29, from 7pm to 10pm, and priced at RM118nett (adult) and RM78nett (child).
