Mum trolled online after making incredible Halloween-themed lunches for kids

A super savvy and organised mum has received a number of cruel comments online, after sharing the elaborate Halloween-themed packed lunches she makes for her kids.

Ardita Jupolli has been accused of pretending to be the 'perfect mum' after opening an Instagram account to show off the deliciously fun meals.

The mum-of-three spends half an hour each day putting together the packed lunches in bento boxes and she doesn't let the negative comments get to her, instead opting to shrug off the jealous 'haters'.

Vampire strawberries, cucumber skulls and bat-shaped sarnies are just some of the offerings the 34-year-old full-time mum has whipped up this month - even baking home-made pizza mummies before they head to school.

Every lovingly-prepared lunch is served alongside heartfelt and inspiring notes that act as a pep talk to her kids halfway through the day.

Ardita, from Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, said: "It's really satisfying to see how much my children love these lunches, especially the Halloween ones.

"The children say that all their friends are like 'woah' [when they open] and look forward to what's tomorrow. I'm quite lucky. I see some mums complaining about how their children are fussy eaters but they eat fruits and vegetables quite well.

"I pop anything in their lunchboxes and when they come back they're completely empty. I don't think they're perfect but my kids love them."

Ardita started her Instagram account in the hopes of inspiring other parents, and she's been overwhelmed with messages of support, but sadly not everyone is so kind.

"It's amazing to get so many nice comments from mums online and messages asking me to share even more ideas. I've had mums message me to say that the first thing they do in a morning is open my Instagram page just to see what to make for their kid today," she said.

"Other mums don't like it and say things like 'who has time for that?' but I usually focus on positive comments. Most of the messages I get are good, I get some from people saying 'don't worry about the hate comments, just keep doing what you're doing'."

After sharing her spooky lunches on Facebook, Ardita's post went viral racking up nearly 10,000 likes, shares and comments.

Most were wowed by her lunch-time offerings, while others berated her for sharing a 'perfect mum' post.

"All the lunches look gorgeous," one write, while another added: "I love the inspirational messages you put in their boxes. That is so nice and thoughtful! Beautifully prepared bento boxes. Well done!"

A third said: "Parents are a funny thing aren’t they? When one parent does something amazing for their kids, others have to try and put them down. I think these lunches are amazing and your children are very lucky."

However others weren't so complimentary.

"I find this post really patronising," one mum commented, while another questioned: "Who actually has time for this?"

A third wrote: "Another 'look at me I'm a perfect mum' post... can we have some reality back please?".

Ardita spends two-and-a-half hours each week carefully carved fiendish features into fruit and vegetables served stylishly alongside foodie accessories such as a black cat fork and plastic eyes.

Despite always being creative in the kitchen, Ardita only started to document her mini masterpieces on social media during lockdown last year.

Now Ardita, who is mum to 14-year-old Robert Mustafa, 14, Simona Mutafa, 10, and four-year-old Lorna Mustafa, has an army of parents keen to see what she makes next.

"It all started when my youngest would ask for different-shaped sandwiches so I would make heart and star-shaped ones for her," Ardita explained.

"Now I'm inspired by things on the internet like Pinterest but I always put something from my own imagination [into my creations]. I always want to put my signature at the end - something of my own.

"I don't picture how the lunch box is going to be, I just keep adding things. I had no idea the pizza mummy was going to end up like that. I have three kids and in half an hour I've finished three of them, it doesn't take as much time as it looks."
