Dear Exhibitors and Visitors to HOTELEX Shanghai 2020：

Informa Markets and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co. Ltd. continue to closely monitor the developments of the Novel Coronavirus which first emerged from Wuhan, China in December of 2019.

The safety of our customers and our staff is always our top priority. As such, we are taking precautions and safety measures as recommended by the local Departments of Health in Shanghai and China as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) seriously.

As the Organizer of THE 29^th Shanghai International Hospitality Equipment & Foodservice Expo (HOTELEX Shanghai 2020), scheduled for 29^th March-1^st April in Shanghai, we are closely aligned with the efforts by the Chinese Government to control and limit the spread of this infectious disease. We continue to monitor the developing situation and remain in close communication with the relevant local government bodies and other key stakeholders.

In the meanwhile, we are actively coordinating with the exhibition venues in Shanghai and reserving alternative time slots for our event should postponement be deemed necessary.

At present Shanghai has activated the first level response to the magnitude emergency of public health. In light of the spirit in the “Notification concerning the enhancement of the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus-related pneumonia outbreak” issued by Shanghai Municipal Government, it is decided to suspend all exhibitions and other events scheduled to be held in February 2020 under the guidance of relevant government organizations so as to meet the government demand of “cancelling of all major public activities”.

You are all required to forge ahead and do a good job in the course of prevention and control of the novel coronavirus-related pneumonia epidemic.
