McDonald's brings back popular £2 wraps - as well as salads and McCafé iced drinks

As the weather warms up, you might not fancy your usual fare from McDonald's and could instead be tempted to order something a little lighter.

If this is the case, then you're in luck as the fast-food chain has announced the return of several popular items for summer.

McDonald's are bringing back wraps, including the Grilled Chicken Wrap and The Garlic Mayo One, as well as Grilled Chicken Salad and the McCafé Iced Drinks Range.

The wraps will cost £2.99 each but can be purchased for £1.99 as part of the Wrap of the Day deal, which is also making a comeback at the high-street restaurant and will change daily.

The Grilled Chicken Wrap features grilled chicken slices, wrapped in a small tortilla with lettuce and ketchup. Or if you prefer, you can add Sweet Chilli, BBQ or Garlic sauce.

The Garlic Mayo wrap (also known as big flavour wrap) can come with either crispy or grilled chicken breast, garlic mayo, tomato, lettuce and cucumber in a soft, toasted tortilla.

If you'd prefer a salad, then the Grilled Chicken Salad could be for you (£2.99 or £3.49 with Bacon), made with grilled 100% chicken breast, lettuce and cucumber, as well as sliced tomato and red onion.

All of the above can then be washed down with a range of iced McCafé drinks including the Belgian Milk Chocolate Frappé (£2.69), Raspberry Ripple Iced Cooler, Strawberries & Cream Frappé (£2.69) and Mango Pineapple Smoothie (£2.49).

For the Chocolate Frappé, Belgian milk chocolate chips are blended with vanilla and ice, then topped with cream and a drizzle of Belgian chocolate sauce and McDonald's says this one "is not to be missed".

The Strawberries & Cream Frappé features strawberry and vanilla ice blend topped with cream and a sugar dusting, while the Raspberry Ripple Iced Cooler is infused with a raspberry flavoured swirl.

McDonald’s Mango Pineapple Smoothie is being added permanently to the menu and combines fruit juices and purees, blended with low-fat yoghurt and ice. It will be available in small, medium, or large options.

All of the other returning items will be back from today (May 11th) and most will be available until September 6th - however, if you want to get your hands on the Strawberries & Cream Frappé you'll have to be quick as it's only being sold until 26th July.
